    Responsibilities:

    • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
    • Prepare food for service
    • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
    • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

    • Clean up station and properly store and care for left over food

  • PRODUCTION
    PRODUCTION, DALEVILLE, VA

    We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis for Production Operators at Ballast Point’s East Coast location in Daleville, Virginia!

    Production Employees are responsible for operating equipment on our packaging lines. This entails manual and automated operation of high speed filling, packing, and palletizing equipment. Employees work in an industrial setting, and will be around machinery, loud noises, and moving forklifts. Production Employees are responsible for maintaining high standards of quality in every aspect of their job. Production Employees do not require previous experience on a packaging line, although experience is preferred. Full-time availability, schedule flexibility, and a willingness to work varying hours and shifts is a must.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operation of packaging equipment
    • Preparing product for packaging
    • Preserving Ballast Point’s quality standards at all times
    • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
    • Willingness to work all shifts, additional hours, and weekends as necessary

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
    • Ability to work 8 hours, both standing and walking
    • Ability to multi-task and follow directions

    WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT, DALEVILLE, VA

    Ballast Point Brewing Company is currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant with availability to work various shifts at our East Coast facility in Daleville, Virginia. This individual will be a team player and provide support for our Warehouse Team operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Pick, pack, and ship orders for delivery efficiently and according to schedule
    • Receive and put away all incoming items including finished goods, raw materials, equipment, chemicals, etc.
    • Maintain a safe, clean workplace
    • Optimize space and remove clutter
    • Variance reporting, inventory accuracy, and filing of paperwork
    • Perform duties assigned by supervisors
    • Properly communicate with all supervisors and employees via all mediums
    • Maintain FIFO method of inventory control/quality management
    • Maintain quality of product at all times
    • Report and correct any substandard quality issues

    Qualifications:


    • 1+ year forklift equipment experience is required
    • Champion safety in all duties and in the workplace between all employees
    • Implementation of methods, protocols, procedures, and general focus on continuous improvement required
    • This position requires heavy lifting (50 lbs.+) and work in a warehouse environment that may contain loud noises and variable temperatures

    Responsibilities:

    • Be familiar with promotions, sales, and assist with dining events
    • Be able to answer questions and make recommendations regarding our beer selection
    • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
    • Wash and sterilize glassware
    • Charge merchandise accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system (Aloha)
    • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change, if applicable
    • Clear and reset tables and clean bathrooms in tasting room
    • Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies
    • Complete opening and closing duties under the direction of Assistant Managers

  • EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF
    EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF, LONG BEACH, CA

    The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for working closely with the Executive Chef to create a fun, fresh, and innovative menu that changes daily and seasonally. They must have a passion for pairing food and beer together, and demonstrate experience working in a high-pace, high-volume kitchen. The Executive Sous Chef must work well under pressure, and have the ability to lead the entire back of house. This person must be able to work closely with the General manager to monitor food and labor costs, and staff and order accordingly. This person must be extremely detail oriented, and demonstrates very strict safety and sanitation practices. They must be confident working all stations on the line.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop seasonal and daily items that source local & sustainable food practices and that pair with our beer selection
    • Train and develop back of house team to ensure successful services
    • Maintain labor and food costs by balancing against our P&L, labor forecasting, and maintain/lower food costs by developing relationships with vendors
    • Ability to operate the expo line
